Prologue
Isaiah
I heard the clicking of her heels when she disappeared back into the main room. Victor and the ' Brother’s Grim had the same knowing expression on their faces, as they heard it also.
“She knows,” said Victor stating the obvious while reaching for his glass on the table, before placing it against his lips. I loved my brother, but sometimes he simply didn’t know when to shut the fuck up. Leaning back with his arms spread across the back of the couch he was still looking at me with his icy gaze as if I was the cause of this current problem. “What are you going to do now?”
What could be done when none of this was my doing? They weren’t supposed to be here tonight. I was scheduled to leave town when Victor called wanting to meet about a potential property for a new club he wanted to open; which was what we should have been discussing to begin with. The Brother’s Grim,' or best known as Vladimir and Warwick, had nothing better to do than to tag along. They were always so eager for a drink and free pussy that slowly they became trained puppies, too eager to do what master Victor said. I wasn’t. Brother or not, I knew what he was thinking, and that shit wasn’t happening.
With a clenched jaw, I wrapped my hand around the cold glass and poured the rich liquid down my throat, hoping it would douse the anger boiling to the surface. “Well if you had kept your fucking mouth shut, we wouldn’t be in this predicament now would we?” I asked dryly.
“No.” He tipped his glass at me with one brow raised. “We wouldn’t be in this predicament, if you trained your girls to learn their place. This is what I’m talking about. If you give them to me—”
I leaned forward, shoulders tense with anger and a scowl on my lips. “If I gave them to you, this place wouldn’t run.”
“This place is barely running at all the way I see it. If father only knew what was going on here, you know what he’d do,” he reminded. Our father was a popular head in the trafficking and drug world, and it was only right his sons followed. Victor had an eye for the business from the moment he saw the money, power, and women it provided. From his very first sale; the woman, a beautiful blonde waitress from a club here in Vegas, captured his eyes from the moment he walked in. In no time she was drugged, caged, and shipped to Columbia like an animal ready to be slaughtered.
Greed was his and my father’s way of living, and although this was my club, and Victor was simply a shareholder, our father controlled the entire show because this was still his business, and we were his sons.
Father knew OZ was a sex club, but he also believed it was a cover for a trafficking ring here in Vegas. Victor ran a strip club on the other side of town, and kept supplying our father with the women he wanted, so he never knew the difference.
OZ was my way of separating myself from my father’s world. He likes to hurt women, I prefer to worship them, and to him my way was the cowards way. He thought men were rulers of women, and if a man couldn’t do that he was a pussy. “How is he going to know, unless someone tells him?” I narrowed my eyes at him.
He shrugged nonchalantly taking another sip. “And don’t you think that girl is going to be the one to do it? Knowing what she knows now, it only takes a minute for her to tell someone and have the police riding my ass—”
All eyes turned to Ryder as she walked in swaying her hips provocatively, and taking a seat next to me. Pouring herself a drink, she looked at everyone in the room. “Guys, what did you do to Slick? She looks a little spooked,” she said with an amused smirk before taking a sip. Most people assumed I was the wicked one because of my silent demeanour, but that was until they met Ryder. She wasn’t a sinner, and she sure as hell wasn’t a saint; at best I would call her calculating. My eyes found Victor and the brothers across the table; all with the same know-it-all looks on their faces.
“Did she say anything?” I asked pulling her attention.
“No. She just whizzed by me in a hurry and when I asked what was up she brushed it off. Did one of you fuckers try to touch her?” she asked with an aggravated edge, narrowing her eyes at Victor in particular.
Victor smirked. “You say one of you but yet you're looking at me, hermana.”
“I’m not your fucking sister you perv.” That was true. For a family, we're not all related. Victor and I shared the same father with different mothers, were as Ryder and I shared the same mother. Our mother died about five years ago, and Ryder’s father had never been a part of her life, so she was sort of adopted by our father who always treated her like his own. Victor, on the other hand, had always wanted to fuck her, and I threatened to kick his teeth in if he ever did. “What’s going on?” she asked me curiously.
“I need you to do something.” I wasn’t about to let this get out of control. I wasn’t a hundred percent certain of what Slick heard, but I couldn’t take any chances either. If Slick knew something, I had to keep an eye on her.
“Does it involve fixing your brother's fuck up?” she said with a mocking smile at Victor.
“Yeah, I need you to watch Slick for a few days. Just stay close, but don’t let her know you’re watching.”
Her eyebrows perked up. “Now I’m definitely curious, so you better spill because I’m not doing anything until you start talking.” She was adamant about it. If there was one thing to know about my sister, it was that she always got what she wanted. So for the next few minutes I filled her in on what Slick may have heard, and by the end we had her full co-operation because like Victor and I, she knew the importance. “Fine, I’ll spy on her, see what she knows.”
“Great, problem solved, but what if she does know something and happens to tell someone? What do we do then?” Victor said. I didn’t want to think of what needed to be done if that was the case. I liked Izabella, and I didn’t want to see harm come to her, but I couldn’t fight my family.
“I let you handle it.”

Izabella returned a few times during the course of the night, looking neither of us in the eye as she refilled our glasses and collected them at the end of the evening. Everyone went their separate ways a few hours later, and I spotted her leaning against the bar. I stood back and watched her for a few minutes, mesmerized like every other man in here. She was a spark, captivating and alluring with not only her body, but with everything that she did. From the moment she walked into my office I knew she was someone hiding behind a persona. You couldn’t be of simple mind to work here; it required a certain openness and desire for the things normal people found disgusting or unethical.
She saw my approach and turned her body to face me. With a surprised look on her face, I tapped the bar top signalling to Happy to bring me my usual whiskey. “You okay?” I asked her as my drink slid across the bar, landing between my fingers. Lifting it to my lips, I watched her over the rim of the glass as her mouth opened to respond.
“Why? Do I not look okay?” She looked away from me to her own body, scanning herself for any disturbance in her appearance. The swell of her breasts over her corset moved rapidly along with her breathing, which caused my cock to stir in my pants pressing uncomfortably against my zippe
r. Oh, how I longed to get laid tonight, but my usual girl was out of town, and the more I stared at Izabella’s breasts, the more I wanted to shove my cock deep within her pussy and watch her scream.
I needed to stop this. For a while I’d been thinking about what it would be like to have her. She was a sweet girl, untainted and new, unlike the others in here, which was why every man in here wanted a piece of her, myself included. I never had the urge to fuck any of my staff before, but that was quickly changing with this one. As much as I wanted to keep staring at her, I blinked away the moment her eyes found mine. “You seemed a little off back there. I know my brother is a bit hard to swallow sometimes,” I said, placing the glass down and leaning against the bar.
She looked a bit uneasy, but hid it under a reassuring smile before realization hit. “Your brother? Victor’s your brother?”
I smirked, taking another sip of my drink. Victor mentioned before that we were brothers, if she did in fact overhear anything she would have known. So, either she doesn’t know or she’s a very good actress. “Yes, step-brother. We share a father.”
“I would never have guessed it. You two are just so—”
“Different, yes we very much are. With him being the oldest he took a lot of our father's looks. My mother was American, hence the name and differences. Most would never guess we were brothers.” Why I felt the need to explain all that was beyond me, but her eyes held a certain curiosity and genuineness that made it easy to spill my darkest secrets. What was it about this girl?
“Well.” I tapped the bar. “I should let you get back to work. Just wanted to make sure you were okay.” I had to get away. This tightness in my pants was making it hard to concentrate on anything other than her lips wrapped around my cock. I desperately needed to get laid, and since I wasn’t going to be fucking her, I had to fine someone else.
She nodded and smiled genuinely. “Thanks for checking on me, but I’m fine.” Stepping past me she stopped briefly looking back at me over her shoulder. “You’re a great guy, Isaiah and I’m glad you're nothing like your brother.” And then she was gone. I had no clue what she meant by that, or even if she heard any of what was said tonight. She didn’t look scared so maybe she hadn’t heard a thing and was simply rattled by my brother’s eager stares and crude remarks. I took a deep breath wanting to push her words from my mind because if she only knew who I was and what I was capable of, she would never have said that. She was right about one thing though. I am nothing like my brother.
If anything, deep down, I was worse.

Chapter One
Christopher
“Roslyn, back again?” I shouted when I stepped next to her at the bar. She was at Havoc again, like she usually was five nights a week getting wasted with her fucking annoying friends. I never wanted a sister and five years ago when I finally contacted my father only to find out he had daughter, I wasn’t happy to hear about it, especially after meeting her and figuring out she was a spoiled heiress.
“What do you want?” She scowled leaning against the bar trying to get Keith the bartender's attention. Her shimmering silver dress was like a disco ball when the lights surrounding the bar reflected off it. When her head fell forward causing her hair to cover her entire face, I knew she was already drunk. I grabbed her upper arm stopping her from falling over, when her head snapped up at me. “What the fuck do you think you’re doing? Let go of me.”
I shook my head. This was the third time this week I had to do this. When dad asked me to keep an eye on her, I didn’t think it would be too hard, but fuck the girl was fucking slick and good at getting her way. “No, you’re drunk, and I’m taking you home—”
“The hell you are.” She snatched her arm back narrowing her eyes. “I can bloody take care of myself. And I don’t need a fucking nanny.” Turning back to Keith who stood behind the bar, she ordered a drink to which Keith’s eyes found mine looking for my response.
I shook my head while Keith turned his smile toward her and said, “Sorry darling, but you’re cut off.”
“Fuck you, Chris,” she shouted, eyes narrowing at me before turning to storm off when I grabbed her arm again. “Let me go,” she sneered between clenched teeth, which only pissed me off more, because I had to do this.
“Come the fuck on, I’m taking you home now.” Pulling her through the throng of people, I felt her struggling to get free, but I wouldn't let up. The girl was small, but she was a fighter who'd turned me on my ass more than once in the last couple of months. When I signed up for this gig, I didn’t anticipate babysitting duty. I had a club to run, and every night she showed up, made my job a little harder.
I dragged her out onto the pavement, her eyes slicing daggers through me as she stood with her arms folded and heel tapping against the asphalt. When my car arrived, she stomped into the back seat, and slammed the door like a petulant child with her arms across her chest. Once I got into the front and pulled away from the curb, I glanced at her through the rear-view mirror. “You can’t keep doing this shit. I’m not your fucking babysitter.”
She was slumped back with her head against the seat, looking up at the ceiling. Not saying a word in response, I glanced at the road ahead and thought about my life before I was forced to deal with this shit.
My whole life was in Brookdale. My mother said it was better to raise a child away from the hustle of Vegas, even though it was where my father thrived.
I didn’t know the man existed until he showed up out of the fucking blue, demanding I be given a choice. Mom wanted me to stay in Brookdale, get a regular job at one of the crap places around town and grow into a decent small-town man. Dad was the opposite. He owned hotels, casinos, night clubs. Had some of the finest women clawing to get at him and he wanted me there to help him run things. The choice was mine, and after what happened between Izabella and I, it was easy. I needed to get away from that town. I needed to get away from her.
I knew she deserved better from the moment I laid eyes on her, but I was selfish. I wanted what only she was capable of giving and she did it so effortlessly that I took it for granted. I intended to leave her alone, I had for five years and then I saw her at Charlie’s and it was as if I had fallen back under her spell.
“I fucking hate you, you know that,” Roslyn cursed from the back seat pulling me back from my thoughts. “As soon as you show up, suddenly daddy’s concerned with what I’m doing.”
“As he should be. Look at you, you can’t even control your alcohol intake without having someone there to take the glass away from you before it hits the floor.”
“Fuck you. I can do what I want, and I don’t need you telling me what to do.” Her phone rang, not sure where she even kept a phone in that ridiculous dress, but somehow it was there. “What?” she snapped. “You found the son of a bitch— Where the hell is that?” I stopped listening to her conversation since it was always about someone she hated. I wonder who it was this week? “Fine I’ll be there tomorrow, you just make sure Reed doesn’t fucking know I’m coming.” She hung up and went back to staring at the ceiling.
At the mention of the name Reed I suddenly had the urge to know who she was talking about. What was the chance that she was talking about the very same Reed I knew? Izzy had a brother named Reed, and he was always getting into fucking trouble. I hated the guy and he hated me, and if he got himself tangled up with Roslyn, I wanted to know why. “This Reed you're looking for—”
“None of your fucking business.”
“You do know I can get information just as easily as you.” I glanced at her with one brow raised, as her eyes met mine in the mirror.
“And what makes you think I care? This is my life, my business and you are not a part of either.” I pulled the car to a stop in front of our hotel, but before I could cut the engine she had the door opened and was running through people toward the building. This was why I didn’t need a fucking sister; always with the fucking dramatics.
<
br /> I hopped from the car and threw my keys to the valet, catching her as she was about to get into the elevator. Grabbing her arm, I spun her to face the hard scowl on my face as I towered over her. This needed to stop now. “You need to cool down.”
She pulled at her arm, but I held tighter. I was tired of her acting like I was an issue. I didn’t ask for this, just like she didn’t ask for a brother, but here we are. “What the fuck is your problem?” she hissed.
“You are my problem. Like it or not Roslyn you’re my sister and if I see shit happening to you I’m going to get concerned. Dad put me in charge of looking after your ass and that’s what I intend to do, like it or not.”
“You know I didn’t ask for this, I was perfectly fine before you showed up.”
“If you call getting drunk every other night fine then I’ll take your word.” The elevator doors opened, and I shoved her inside; luckily it was empty. She stumbled but quickly caught herself by bracing against the wall and scowling at me as I stepped up next to her, pressing the button for the penthouse. “What is this Reed's last name?”
“Fuck you.”
“Why are you looking for Reed?” I asked looking straight ahead. She huffed but remained silent with her arms crossed over her chest. I turned to face her. “Look, either you can tell me or I can ask dad and I’m guessing he knows nothing about this, and once he does your ass is going to be in trouble, again.” I smirked in a know-it-all way. She knew I was right. Dad warned her a few days earlier about doing stupid shit that would soil his name, and would quickly get her credit cards revoked.
“How do you know Reed anyway?” she asked.
“Well if it's the Reed I think it is, I'd say we have a common interest.”
After a few beats, she huffed before rolling her eye. “Stone. His last name is Stone. Now what's this common interest?”
